Kids Church Teachers’ Summit 2015

Kids Church Teachers’ Summit 2015

I was so surprised when our pastor told us that me and Jules are going to attend the Teachers’ Summit 2015 in Laguna. It was my first time to travel with my husband outside Mindanao. I was so excited and prayed to God that it will be a successful activity. We booked our tickets and went to Manila one day before the event to roam around, and even went home to Davao one day after the event to savor the moment.

When we arrived in Manila, we visited Pastor Tom who was in training for church planting. Good thing it was Wednesday and there was a service in Victory Pioneer. Eventhough we were late, we still managed to catch up and eventually enjoyed the service. Then Pastor Tom toured us around Victory Pioneer – offices, Kids Church rooms, pantry, music room, etc. We were in awe! It was so big and so nice. I know Victory Tagum will be like that in a few years from now.

It was like night market in Tagum but with the more “sosyal” and more expensive foods. Finally, I was able to try Sbarro pizza, 99 pesos and above per slice. But the slice is big enough for two persons.

It could be a superhero with super powers, battery, lightning, etc. The costumes of other participants were so carefully prepared. But Victory Tagum and Victory Davao participants dressed up in Sunflower of Plants VS Zombie. The Sunflower has the power to buy plants and other things to fight against zombies, right?

IMG_2188 IMG_2189We stayed in Manila for one day again and attended the Sunday service at Victory Fort. The whole travel was a really worthy experience.

Me As A Kids Church Teacher

Me As A Kids Church Teacher

I just had my first own class in the Kids Church. There were only few kids but I was so nervous. Maybe because I was worried they will not understand the lesson or they will get confused, especially what I am sharing to them is the Word of God.

But after a while, I was calm and enjoyed the rest of the period. The kids were noisy but cooperative. They were able to answer my questions and made the craft in just simple instructions.

Thank you Lord. There will be more of my classes each month, once or twice a month.

This is my ministry. This is my passion.

VCF Tagum Team Building 2013

VCF Tagum Team Building 2013

Last September 28, 2013 was one of the most unforgettable moment of my life. It was the Victory  Tagum’s team building for the core group. The core group is composed of members of the church who are willing to serve God through church works. I was so glad that I was invited because Pastor Manny saw a potential in me to become a church worker. Of course, I brought along with me my husband Jules.

I thought we will have lectures and lots of writing activities and group works, but this team building was the best so far. We had a lot of fun and adventure. It was held in Outland Adventure in Maa, Davao City. We conquered our fears through surpassing the extreme obstacles called Circuit by careful planning, strategies, ideas and teamwork.

Our muscles were so stretched and painful that it took me three days not to go to Zumba. I was able to set the limits of my body when I was at the Circuit. I know I am very heavy but because I want to succeed, I was able to carry my weight from start to finish.

It takes a lot of planning and teamwork to become successful in a given task. Although at first we failed because of our carelessness and eagerness to do the task, but we learned that we need each other to do the right thing. We became a team that day.

We did the Mohawk and we failed, we crossed the river and we failed during the first time, but we eventually succeeded. We also succeeded during the ball transfer.
